Weather forecasts from MET Norway (YR). No account required.
Prerequisites
- A stackgate.ai account
Getting credentials
- Open Integrations → YR.
- Click Activate — no upstream API key is needed.
- Optionally set a default location in the setup form.
YR uses MET Norway's open API; stackgate.ai handles platform credentials.
Using with AI clients
- Dedicated endpoint:

Troubleshooting
- Location not found — use a valid place name or coordinates supported by MET Norway geocoding.
Available tools

get_location_forecast
Get up to 9 days of weather forecast from MET Norway Locationforecast (temperatures in °C). Coordinates are truncated to 4 decimal places automatically.

get_nowcast
Get a ~2 hour precipitation and weather nowcast from MET Norway for the Nordic area (updated every 5 minutes).
