  • Who is playing at Royal Arena next, and give me the official ticket link.

Overview

Search live events, artists, and venues on Ticketmaster from AI clients. Find concerts, sports, and theater, then open the official ticket url.

This integration uses the Ticketmaster Discovery API. It does not sell or reserve tickets. Always use the official event url Ticketmaster returns.

Prerequisites

  • A stackgate.ai account
  • A Ticketmaster Consumer Key or access to a hub configured with TICKETMASTER_API_KEY

Getting credentials

Option A - Hub-wide key (no personal key needed)

If your stackgate.ai operator has configured a hub-wide Ticketmaster Consumer Key, you can activate this integration without entering any credentials:

  1. Open Integrations → Ticketmaster.
  2. Click Connect & enable without filling in the API key field.

All users without a personal override share the hub key's daily quota (5000 Discovery calls per day and 5 requests per second by default) and stackgate.ai hub fair-use limits.

Option B - Personal Ticketmaster Consumer Key

Use your own Discovery quota:

  1. Register at the Ticketmaster Developer Portal.
  2. Open your default application and copy the Consumer Key. That value is your API key.
  3. In stackgate.ai, open Integrations → Ticketmaster.
  4. Paste the key in Ticketmaster Consumer Key (optional override) and click Connect & enable.

See the Discovery API overview for rate limits and country coverage.

Using with AI clients

  • Dedicated endpoint: POST /mcp/ticketmaster with a Sanctum bearer token
  • Private gateway: use ticketmaster__* namespaced tools (for example ticketmaster__search_events)

See Documentation for HTTP authentication and private gateway setup.

Typical workflow: suggest or search attractions/venues → search events with at least one filter → get event and share the official ticket url.

Troubleshooting

  • 422 integration not configured - activate Ticketmaster under My Integrations. If no hub key is configured, you must provide a personal Consumer Key.
  • 401 Unauthorized - your Consumer Key is invalid. Copy a fresh key from the Ticketmaster developer portal.
  • 429 Too many requests / Hub quota exceeded - you hit Ticketmaster's 5 requests/second or 5000/day cap, or the stackgate.ai hub daily fair-use limit. Wait and retry, or add your own Consumer Key under My Integrations.
  • Search requires a filter - search_events and search_venues need at least one filter (keyword, city, country, postal code, attraction, venue, classification, or geohash).
  • Deep paging - Ticketmaster only returns the first 1000 hits (size * page must stay under 1000).
  • No checkout - Discovery does not buy tickets. Use the official url on the event. Ticket purchase stays on Ticketmaster.com.
  • Do not cache listings - Ticketmaster terms limit storing event content beyond a reasonable period to serve the current request.
