Hostinger

Connect Hostinger hosting, domains, DNS, and VPS to AI clients with an hPanel API token.

Example questions

Try asking your AI client

  • Which Hostinger websites are enabled on my hosting plan?

  • Did example.com ever get added to my domain portfolio?

  • Show the DNS records for example.com - do not change them.

  • Which VPS machines are stopped right now?

  • Write a draft plan to create a site for the new domain - do not create it yet.

Overview

Connect Hostinger so AI clients can list hosting websites and orders, create websites, inspect domains and DNS, and start, stop, or restart VPS machines through the Hostinger public API.

stackgate.ai stores your hPanel API token encrypted and calls https://developers.hostinger.com on your behalf. Tool results are returned to your AI client for that request.

This integration uses a user-owned API token. It is not Hostinger Connector OAuth (first-party only). Hostinger-managed WordPress tools are not in this MVP; self-hosted WordPress sites use the separate WordPress integration. Agency Hosting is not included yet.

Prerequisites

  • A Hostinger account with hPanel access
  • A stackgate.ai account

Getting credentials

  1. Sign in to hPanel and open Profile → API.
  2. Create an API token. Copy it once (often prefixed with hapi_).
  3. In stackgate.ai, open My Integrations → Hostinger, paste the token, and click Connect & enable.

Treat the token like a password. Revoke or rotate it in hPanel if it is exposed.

Using with AI clients

  • Dedicated endpoint: POST /mcp/hostinger with a Sanctum bearer token
  • Private gateway: one config for all integrations - use hostinger__* namespaced tools

See Documentation for HTTP authentication and private gateway setup.

Suggested workflow

  1. list_hosting_orders / list_websites - find username, domain, order_id, and website type.
  2. list_datacenters with order_id before create_website when provisioning the first site on a plan (domain + order_id + datacenter_code). Website create is async; poll list_websites.
  3. list_domains / get_domain, then list_dns_records before any DNS change. DNS updates are not in this MVP.
  4. list_virtual_machines / get_virtual_machine, then start_virtual_machine, stop_virtual_machine, or restart_virtual_machine. Poll get_virtual_machine instead of tight loops.

Confirm before create_website or VPS stop. Stopping a VPS is a power-state change only and does not stop billing.

Troubleshooting

  • 422 integration not configured - paste an API token in My Integrations.
  • 401 Unauthorized - generate a new token in hPanel Profile → API and update My Integrations.
  • 403 Forbidden - the token owner may lack permission for that resource.
  • 422 missing order_id on list_datacenters - pass order_id from list_hosting_orders.
  • 429 Too many requests - Hostinger limits the public API to 90 requests per minute per IP. Wait on Retry-After, and avoid tight polling. Hub quota is not applied; Hostinger bills the token owner's account.
  • create_website pending - creation is async; poll list_websites instead of retrying immediately.
  • WordPress tools missing - use the WordPress integration for self-hosted wp-json sites. Hostinger hPanel WordPress tools are not in this MVP.

Available tools

  • list_websites

List Hostinger websites (CloudLinux, Builder, and Horizons) accessible to the connected token, including shared-access sites.

  • list_hosting_orders

List Hostinger hosting orders accessible to the connected token, including shared-access orders.

  • list_datacenters

List datacenters available for a hosting order. The first item is the best match. Required before create_website for the first site on a plan.

  • create_website

Create a Hostinger website on a hosting order. Creation is async; poll list_websites. datacenter_code is required for the first website on a new plan.

  • list_domains

List domains in the Hostinger domain portfolio for the connected account.

  • get_domain

Get details for a domain in the Hostinger portfolio.

  • list_dns_records

List DNS zone records for a domain on Hostinger nameservers.

  • list_virtual_machines

List Hostinger VPS virtual machines for the connected account.

  • get_virtual_machine

Get details for a Hostinger VPS virtual machine.

  • start_virtual_machine

Start a Hostinger VPS. Already-running machines are accepted without effect.

  • stop_virtual_machine

Stop a Hostinger VPS. This is a power-state change only and does not stop billing. Confirm before stopping production machines.

  • restart_virtual_machine

Restart a Hostinger VPS by stopping and starting it. Stopped machines are started.

MCP endpoint: https://stackgate.ai/mcp/hostinger (HTTP) or via the private gateway.
