Overview

Query activity, sleep, heart rate, weight, nutrition, and other health metrics from your Fitbit-linked Google Health account.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account with Fitbit health data synced through the Fitbit app
  • A stackgate.ai account

Getting credentials

  1. Open My Integrations → Google Health.
  2. Click Activate, then Connect Google Health.
  3. Sign in with Google and approve the read-only health data scopes.

During early access, your Google account may need to be added as a Test user on the stackgate.ai Google Cloud OAuth project until Google OAuth verification is complete.

Using with AI clients

  • Dedicated endpoint: POST /mcp/google-health
  • Private gateway: google-health__* tools

Example workflows:

  • Hourly steps: roll_up_data_points with data_type=steps and window_size=3600s
  • Daily step count: daily_roll_up_data_points with data_type=steps
  • Last night's sleep: list_data_points with data_type=sleep, a time filter, and detail=summary (default). Use get_data_point or detail=full for stage-level detail.
  • Weight trend: list_data_points or reconcile_data_points with data_type=weight

Prefer roll-up tools for high-cardinality types (steps, heart-rate, distance). List tools default to slim summaries so large sleep stage arrays do not overflow the AI client context.

Troubleshooting

  • 403 after connecting — disconnect and reconnect. Do not mix legacy Google Fit OAuth scopes with Google Health scopes on the same account.
  • Auth errors — reconnect Google Health from My Integrations to refresh OAuth tokens.
  • Stale data — Fitbit device data syncs to Google Health when the Fitbit app is open; allow up to ~15 minutes after activity.
  • Cannot connect (100-user cap) — the OAuth app may still be in Google verification; contact support if you need access before public verification completes.

Available tools

  • get_identity

    Get the connected Google Health user identity, including the Google Health user ID and legacy Fitbit user ID when present.

  • list_data_points

    List health data points for a data type. Defaults to detail=summary (slim payloads). Prefer roll-up tools for steps/heart-rate over raw lists. Supports AIP-160 filters with snake_case field names.

  • reconcile_data_points

    Reconcile health data points from multiple sources into a single stream for a data type. Defaults to detail=summary (slim payloads).

  • roll_up_data_points

    Roll up health data points over physical UTC time windows for a data type.

  • daily_roll_up_data_points

    Roll up health data points over civil calendar days for a data type.

  • get_data_point

    Get a single health data point by ID for data types that support get, such as weight, exercise, sleep, or nutrition-log.
