Overview

Connect a DanDomain Webshop 8 so AI clients can read orders, products, categories, and customers, and update stock, order state, and tracking via the REST API v2.

This integration uses the shop's own API key. stackgate.ai does not hold a shared DanDomain app or OAuth client.

Prerequisites

  • A DanDomain Webshop 8 with API access
  • Permission to open Settings → Integration in the shop admin
  • A stackgate.ai account

Classic / HostedShop SOAP APIs are not supported.

Getting credentials

  1. Sign in to the DanDomain shop admin for the webshop you want to connect.
  2. Open Settings → Integration.
  3. Create an API key and copy it. Keep the shop's HTTPS origin (for example https://myshop.dk).
  4. In stackgate.ai, open My Integrations → DanDomain.
  5. Paste the shop URL and API key, then save. stackgate.ai verifies the key against the shop's /admin/WEBAPI/v2/orders endpoint.
  6. Optionally use Edit tool access to limit the connection to read tools.

Authentication is HTTP Basic with an empty username and the API key as the password. Do not put the key in the URL.

Using with AI clients

  • Dedicated endpoint: POST /mcp/dandomain with a Sanctum bearer token
  • Private gateway: one config for all integrations - use dandomain__* namespaced tools

Troubleshooting

  • 422 integration not configured - complete the shop URL and API key form in My Integrations.
  • 401 Unauthorized - create a new API key under Settings → Integration and update My Integrations.
  • HTTPS is required - use https:// shop origins. HTTP shop URLs are rejected.
  • Could not reach the shop API - confirm the hostname is the live webshop, not an admin-only hostname blocked as private.
  • 403 Forbidden - the key may lack API permission. Recreate it in the shop admin.
  • 429 Too many requests - wait a short delay and retry.

Security and revocation

Disconnect DanDomain in My Integrations to delete the stored key from stackgate.ai. Also delete or rotate the key under Settings → Integration in the shop admin.

Limitations

  • Create or delete of orders and customers is not included.
  • Image conversion (convertImages) and webhook management are not included.
  • App Store partner install / OAuth is not required. Connect with shop URL and API key only.
  • SOAP Classic / HostedShop APIs are out of scope.

Available tools

  • list_orders

    List DanDomain orders in a date range. start and end are required (ISO-8601). Use include=lines for order lines.

  • get_order

    Get a DanDomain order by ID, including customer, totals, and status.

  • list_order_states

    List order states configured on the shop (IDs used by set_order_state).

  • list_products

    List DanDomain products. Filter by category, barcode, or modified interval. Use page and page_size for paging.

  • get_product

    Get a DanDomain product by product number (SKU), including price and stock.

  • list_categories

    List DanDomain categories. Pass parent_id to list children; omit or use 0 for root categories.

  • get_category

    Get a DanDomain category by ID, including name and parent.

  • get_customer

    Get a DanDomain customer by ID, including contact details and group.

  • get_customer_by_email

    Find a DanDomain customer by email address.

  • list_customer_groups

    List customer groups configured on the DanDomain shop.

  • set_order_state

    Set the state of a DanDomain order. Use list_order_states to find state_id.

  • set_track_number

    Set the shipment tracking number on a DanDomain order.

  • complete_order

    Mark a DanDomain order as complete.

  • set_stock_count

    Set the stock count for a DanDomain product number (SKU).

  • update_product

    Update selected fields on a DanDomain product. Only provided fields are sent.
