Overview

Look up Danish companies from the Central Business Register (CVR) — official public registry data including names, addresses, industry codes, status, officers, and production units (P-numbers).

Prerequisites

  • A stackgate.ai account

Getting credentials

  1. Open Integrations → CVR.
  2. Click Activate — no personal CVR account is required when stackgate.ai hub credentials are configured.

Organizations with their own CVR distribution API access from Erhvervsstyrelsen may optionally store a username and password under integration credentials (bring-your-own-key). Request access by emailing cvrselvbetjening@erst.dk.

Using with AI clients

  • Dedicated endpoint: POST /mcp/cvr
  • Private gateway: cvr__* tools

Typical workflow: search by company name → get full record by CVR → list participants and production units.

Test prompts

Search CVR for companies named "Magenta".
Get company details for CVR 25052943.
List production units for CVR 43121774.

Troubleshooting

  • 422 / credentials missing — hub CVR API credentials are not configured. Contact your workspace admin or add BYOK credentials from Erhvervsstyrelsen.
  • 401 Unauthorized — CVR username or password is invalid; reconnect or update credentials.
  • No results — verify the 8-digit CVR number or try a broader name search.
  • Rate limits — CVR distribution APIs are shared infrastructure; reduce lookup frequency if you receive 429 responses.

Security and data

  • CVR data is public registry information. Do not treat participant names as consent for marketing outreach.
  • Disconnect under My Integrations to disable tools for your account.
